"Mr. Chambers:

I appreciate the effort, attention to detail, and professional courtesy that was given to me and my family when we decided to have a security system installed in our home. Your pre-installation survey was very helpful and it was a pleasant change to know what to expect for the actual installation. The team of installers are to be commended for an excellent job. It is unfortunate that in today’s business world, the customer has come to expect workers who do not show up, cancel appointments, are late, or who perform sub-standard work. But this was certainly not the case with RTC. I cannot express how refreshing it was to deal with a company that demonstrated honesty, integrity, and professionalism. Because of the seriousness and possible ramifications of the service I was purchasing, my expectations were high. RTC exceeded these expectations, and this should be noted.

I will not go into detail about the numerous items that the installers had to deal with and the professional way they handled a difficult installation. I would like to say that they all worked extremely hard and went above and beyond. RTC should be proud that they have employees in the community that are representing them in such an excellent way. By the way, this extends not only to the installation crew, but to you as well. Your efforts in coordinating and communicating with me are greatly appreciated.

Now, just one more thought and I’ll let you get back to work. When you came out to my home and we discussed the installation, I mentioned to you that my decision to purchase a security system was because our home was burglarized. I cannot express in words the sick feeling that has pervaded every waking minute of my time since that event. I think I was living in a naïve world up until that day, thinking something like that could never happen to my family. The fact that I have a wife and 3 small children and we were all at home when this happened still makes my stomach turn. And the worst is that even though I would like to think I could protect my family, I’m only one person. What if I wasn’t there and it was just my wife and kids alone? But the fact is, I was there…and it still happened. I say all this to try my best and express what a difference it makes to have such a simple thing as a good security system in my home. The peace of mind this has brought me and my family is worth every penny. I’m not sure if I could have lived with myself if something had happened to one of my children or my wife. No, it wasn’t my fault we had a burglar, but it was my fault that I had an unsafe home that had zero deterrents. An open invitation to any depraved person passing by. My only regret is that my “wake up call” could have been stolen lives instead of stolen property. I thank God each day that I only lost “things” that night and not my precious children or wife! I had no idea the immediate impact of having a good security system in place would have. I really didn’t realize how on edge I had been living until the first night our home was armed and secure. I finally had a long overdue peaceful sleep. It is amazing how much better one feels when they don’t wake up to every little sound during the night.

If my unfortunate experience can serve as a “wake up call” for somebody else before they have to go through what we did, or something worse, then maybe some good will come of all this in the end. I hate to say this, but people like me (naïve) need to realize that there are bad people out there and that bad things do happen to good people.
